Secretary Austin Commends Croatia for Military Donations to Ukraine

That nation commits Mil Mi-8 helicopters and humanitarian aid to Ukrainian defense.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin met with Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banozic at the Pentagon last week. The U.S. defense secretary thanked him for Croatia’s contribution of military equipment to Ukrainian defense forces.

Croatia first became a member of the United Nations in 1992, and since then has been consistently developing its military. Its most recent donation to Ukraine includes all of its Mil Mi-8 helicopters, a number of munitions, and humanitarian assistance for the Ukrainian people.

“All of that is making a real difference in Ukraine’s fight for freedom. I look forward to your perspectives on the challenges posed by Russia’s cruel invasion of its peaceful neighbor Ukraine,” Secretary Austin said to Defense Minister Banozic before their meeting.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Austin to seek God’s guidance as he interacts with foreign defense ministers regarding Ukraine.
  • For the president and his foreign policy advisors as they determine how to support Ukraine and Israel.
